Fourteen years ago, ISA Yachts unveiled its Granturismo (GT) line, shaking up superyacht design. The series married super-sleek looks more like those of a maxi open to a full-displacement hull. Simultaneously, the design provided an abundance of alfresco areas, again similar to maxis and far different from typical long-range motoryachts. The notion of what it calls the grand sea coupé has undergone fresh rethinking with the new reveal of the ISA Granturismo 66 yacht.
The series builds upon a same-size series made famous by the yacht Okto, delivered in 2014 and ISA’s then-largest project. It preserves the hallmark combination of automotive and aeronautical looks while infusing areas with modern-day must-haves. Enrico Gobbi – Team for Design, which is collaborating with the shipyard on other Granturismo models, has penned profile curves reminiscent of sports cars. Metallic blue-grey paint calls more attention to them. On the aeronautical side, the side decks mimic the shape of airplane wings.

Just as the big outdoor spaces were a draw a decade ago, the new ISA Granturismo 66 yacht has them in spades. Seating and sunning areas capable of accommodating the entire party of 14 sit at the aft edges of the upper deck and sundeck, for example. A nice update is the inclusion of glass balustrades in both of these areas—plus forward on both decks—inviting uninterrupted views. The main deck aft, meanwhile, has one of the most in-demand amenities these days, an infinity pool. But, another pleasant surprise awaits on the long foredeck. Here, the ISA Granturismo 66 yacht provides owners and guests not only with generous lounge space, but also a firepit.
Enrico Gobbi – Team for Design brought some good ideas to the interior, too. For instance, the skylounge can be a traditional upper-deck saloon. However, owners can request it be a gym—which pairs well with the hot tub forward on this same level. Other ideas include a dining area.
Surely, owners will want to keep their full-beam stateroom forward on the main deck, as the shipyard and design studio suggest. Close families, or owner with aides, will also like having two guest staterooms nearby. Three further guest cabins—two doubles and one twin—sit below decks, alongside a room that converts when needed.
Finally, no megayacht is complete currently without a wellness area. To that end, the ISA Granturismo 66 yacht provides owners and guests with a spa on the lower deck. It additionally has fold-down platforms to create a more serene experience.

Whatever buyer ultimately choose, custom furnishings complement the profile’s organic shapes, and warm woods, marble, and satin-finished brass keep the ambience elegant.
