I’m not surprised to see Biver lean into more stone dials for their newest models. I know that Pierre Biver was somewhat resistant to the idea at the launch of the Automatique, but it proved to be the brand’s biggest hit. Stone dials are very en vogue right now, so it’s good to capitalize on the trend, even if it is tough to make dials like these in very high quality. They also previously did a Japan Edition with enamel dials, but those quickly sold out as well, so the brand is listening to customer feedback here.
My favorite, however, is the grey dial in the rose gold case with rose gold indices and hands. It seems like I might be officially an old man, liking two-tone for perhaps the first time, but I am who I am. The blue quartzite also adds a bit of softness to the catalog, especially with the blue sapphires on the dial.
