Breakfast at Rowley’s DIFC

If you’re looking for a breakfast spot that balances charm, quality, and comfort then Rowley’s Restaurant delivers on all fronts. I visited early on a weekday and the atmosphere was calm and welcoming. Tucked into a cozy corner at DIFC, Rowley’s feels like one of those rare places where the morning rush melts away as soon as you walk in. It’s a place where you can open your laptop, meet a client, or just read the newspaper in peace. With natural light pouring through large windows and the quiet clink of cutlery, it’s a serene start to the day. The presentation is clean and unfussy, classic Rowley’s like their menu. Clean flavors, excellent ingredients and balance in every bite is what we felt today morning. Service was attentive and everything arrived quickly, which is always appreciated during a morning meal.

The Steak & Eggs at Rowley’s isn’t just a breakfast, t’s a statement. This is a dish designed for those who start their day with intention, appetite, and taste. Rich, hearty, and deeply satisfying, it’s the highlight of Rowley’s breakfast menu for good reason. The 100g steak is cooked to order (medium-rare recommended) and arrives tender, juicy, and seared with confidence. It’s a true bistro-style cut, not oversized, but intensely flavorful. There’s a nice char on the outside and a perfectly pink center, seasoned just enough to let the beef speak for itself. The eggs are fully customizable. Whether you go for soft scrambled, poached, or sunny-side up, the kitchen knows how to get it right. The hash brown is one of the quiet standouts on the plate—crispy, golden and hug with a tender center and perfectly seasoned outer crunch. Scrabbled eggs were one of the beautiful one’s we’ve eaten, buttery, softly set, and spoonable. They’ve clearly cooked low and slow, and seasoned with a light hand so the eggs themselves actually shine. A perfectly balanced breakfast for the serious eater. If you only try one dish from Rowley’s breakfast menu, make it this one. For the second item, the loaf felt thinner for the toast. We are used to those thick brioche breads in Dubai.  The bacon is crispy edged, smoky, and meaty. It plays more of a supporting role but gives that hit of umami and crunch that brings everything together.

Yoghurt Bowl – AED 40 – greek yogurt, granola and fresh fruits.
Yoghurt Bowl – AED 40 – greek yogurt, granola and fresh fruits.

Yoghurt Bowl was surprisingly even better. It’s light, refreshing, and quietly sophisticated. The base is thick, full-fat Greek yogurt which was luxuriously creamy with just the right amount of tang. Golden honey drizzled generously over the yoghurt granola bowl, added a sweet finish. Crunchy granola brings a needed texture contrast to the creaminess of the yogurt. Well-balanced mix of apricot, berries and banana. Everything tastes fresh and ripe. There’s real care in the slicing and plating too.
