Welcome to the fourth season of Fratello Talks! To kick off the new year, we’re discussing some of the best entry-level watches to start a collection in 2026. Daan, RJ, and Nacho come together to present some of their favorite options available today. Many of the watches discussed are great if you’re looking to start a collection. However, they also serve as a fun purchase, even for seasoned collectors. So tune in, check out our picks, and let us know which ones would be yours. For now, though, let’s start with a wrist check.
Wrist check
We start this wrist check with Daan, who is wearing his Rolex Explorer 114270. Although we’re accustomed to seeing him wear his Cartier Santos, this is still one of his most frequently worn watches.
RJ has also opted for an option from The Crown, his 1996 Rolex Sea-Dweller. This is the second example that RJ has owned. After selling the first one, he learned his lesson, and this one is here to stay.
Nacho is wearing a new watch that is slightly more appropriate for today’s topic. It’s the Seiko 5 ref. SNKP21J1. He was officially “influenced” and recently picked it up after seeing several people on Instagram wearing it — notably, the folks at @watchesofespionage. With its Eastern Arabic numerals, glossy black dial, and field-watch look, it’s a charming and affordable watch that anyone can enjoy.
Fratello Talks: The Best Entry-Level Watches To Start A Collection In 2026
Whether you’re looking to make a strong start to your watch collection in 2026 or you’re on the hunt for a new affordable timepiece, look no further. In today’s episode of Fratello Talks, we’ve got you covered with some of the best entry-level watches available in 2026. We’re sure the year will see many more being introduced, but for now, these are the ones we enjoy the most. We won’t give the game away here, but here’s a preview of the guys’ picks.
RJ expresses a soft spot for the Serica 6190 with a California dial. It’s a field watch with a great deal of charm, offering immense value for its price. Daan has a soft spot for the Tissot PRX in titanium. This newly introduced variant takes what makes the PRX a great, affordable watch and makes it lighter and easier to wear.
And finally, among many others, Nacho selects the brilliant Nodus × Raven TrailTrekker. What do you think of our picks, and what would yours be? Let us know in the comments below. As always, stay tuned for more Fratello Talks coming your way next week!
