Dubai has no shortage of weekend brunches, but every now and then, you stumble upon a spot that feels effortlessly stylish where food, ambiance, and experience come together just right. That’s exactly what I found at Arrogante, a standout brunch spot in Dubai with an Italian soul, stylish setting and fantastic views of the Burj Khalifa. I can imagine the demand for these seats on new year eve. The setting feels geared for lingering, enjoying, celebrating. Imported Italian ingredients, wood-fired pizza oven, a terrace that looks out to the Burj Khalifa, and an interior that blends modern flair with Italian warmth. The noise level was moderate, enough buzz to feel lively but still comfortable for conversation. Live singing and music that sets the tone for the afternoon.

The Start
We started off with fancy mocktails and complimentary breads, followed by Arrogante’s flair for Italian inspired appetizers. Carpaccios arrived like a work of art – delicate, translucent slices of salmon/beef laid beautifully on the plate, drizzled with olive oil, and sprinkled with just the right amount of Parmesan shavings. Salmon was light, silky and absolutely refreshing. The Beef Carpaccio, on the other hand brought richness and depth. The Chicken Caesar salad was crisp and cold, the grilled chicken was seasoned just right. Creamy and perfectly balanced coat found on every leaf. The crunch of the croutons and generous parmesan flakes made it a crowd favorite. The salads added a beautiful burst of color to the table, the Italian salad was addictive. Vibrant greens, full of flavor and felt so fresh eating them.

Mains
An Italian restaurant can never go wrong with a pizza, so we made sure to try one of them from the list. It came like a masterpiece, elevated on a stand. For me the base of the pizza was the best part. We tried a vegetable pizza, as vegetable flavours were the only option available for the brunch menu. The star from the mains was the Ossobuco. The lamb was like fall off the bone tender, braised to perfection in a rich sauce that clung lovingly to every forkful. Served with a side of creamy mash which was also delicious and a great match to the meat. Tagliatelle Ragu Bolognese brought pure Italian nostalgia to the table. The ribbons of pasta with tomato rich sauce and minced beef. It was the second best from the mains, after the Ossobuco.

Desserts
Arrogante doesn’t just serve desserts, it curates experiences. Each dish tells a story with artistry, comfort with curiosity. The brunch magic might just lie in its desserts. Some of the names did have us intrigued like Amor Oculto, mysterious as it sounds. A silky chocolate mousse with a hidden heart of tangy fruit coulis, all hidden beneath a glossy mirror glaze. A very different and good looking dessert. Pomodoro Arrogante at first glance is like a tomato. This was actually our favourite dessert today from the brunch. The tomato skin is a glossy white chocolate, encasing a luscious mascarpone cream. It’s playful, unexpected and bold enough to give a new look to the dessert with great taste. Panna Cotta was creamy, smooth and perfectly set by not being too firm or wobbly. It was simple, yet elegant in every way. Italian dessert cannot complete without a Cannoli. The thick skin was crisp, light and filled with thick cream with chocolate chips on the inside. Each bite came with a creamy crunch. Probably one of the best Cannoli we’ve had. Tiramisu was a classic, espresso soaked lady fingers with mascarpone topped with cocoa dust. These dessert lineup are pure Italian poetry for the palate.
