Tucked in Al Quoz Pond Park, surrounded by greenery and a relaxed park side vibe, Lazy Cat provides a breath of fresh air compared to many of Dubai’s glossy cafes. The decor is playful with soft pastel interiors, cat sculptures, blue accents, garden‑style seating, parasols and a comfortable mix of indoor/outdoor. The cafe is popular, so let me warn you there will be waiting on weekends. We arrived on a weekday and found the atmosphere relaxed while not empty, it wasn’t chaotic. The cafe’s design is casual yet stylish, I honestly felt like home today while we sat inside the cafe for breakfast. You will find typical park cats and even rabbits hanging outside the cafe but none of them interfered at our table. Lazy cat definitely has a unique menu. The pancakes are worth a try which are ultra‑soft. Our savoury dish also complemented well. The drink was visually stunning and pleasantly smooth. The park‑side location and relaxed vibe make it a perfect spot for a long slow relaxed breakfast rather than a rushed coffee.

Fancy Shmancy – AED 45 – maple glazed beef bacon, egg club sandwich, cheddar cheese, avocado, romaine lettuce, mayo
Savoury
Fancy Shmancy is hearty sandwich stack built on premium ingredients (including maple‑glazed bacon and avocado) delivered in club form. The bacon immediately catches your eye, not just as a side note but a statement. The maple glaze gives it a shine and sweetness that promises flavour beyond a standard breakfast bacon. Bacon had this satisfying chew and richness which was sandwiched along with eggs that looked sunlit. Golden and crisp looking herb chips on the side are not to be forgotten, making the plate feel complete.

Honey Toast
You’re getting a lofty Japanese style bread base, topped with creamy kaymak and crowned with honeycomb. The promise is richness, texture, sweetness and an indulgent dessert experience. The bread is crusty all over but soft on the inside. The creamy milkiness of kaymak elevated the toast from “just bread and honey” to something more luxurious. The honeycomb is classic with it’s sticky sweetness and a bit of raw honey flavour, which contrasted nicely with the bread’s mellow base. A sip of coffee with this toast is a great pair.

Japanese Pancakes
These pancakes would be the most instagrammed dish from their menu. The pancakes felt light, indulgent and deliciously photogenic. The Fluffy Japanese Pancakes at Lazy Cat is a must try. The pancakes had a light, airy texture, almost cloud‑like. Each bite felt soft and delicate. Surprisingly they say it takes 40 mins to make these pancakes. Fortunately we didn’t have to wait that long. The ice cream on the side tasted ordinary. I was more in love with the cream on top of the pancakes.

Blue Matcha aroma was inviting, warm milk with a gentle hint of matcha type aroma. It has a creamy, smooth texture. The milk was dominant but you could taste a green tea foundation. There was no bitterness at all, which makes it approachable unlike the green matcha. As I progressed. the blue tone didn’t fade quickly, and the flavour remained consistent. The best part was the Latte art. Overall this drink get’s an A+. Click here to visit the official website. Click pictures below to see them in full screen view:
