Yacht Boardwalk Strolls Outside at Lürssen

Overcast winter weather isn’t exactly what you’d want for a yacht launch, especially a project whose name conjures leisurely walks along a beachside promenade. But, it was no matter for operations at Lürssen earlier today, with the launch of the yacht Boardwalk.

With a length of about 384 feet (117 meters), the yacht Boardwalk is showing off her nameboards for the first time. The shipyard has been under a publicity embargo since her build began a few years ago. Despite that, rumors had held that the superyacht would be around 381 feet (116 meters) in length.

Since she’s now in the water, several features are readily apparent. For instance, the yacht Boardwalk has two helipads. One is on the foredeck, while the second is aft two decks higher. A pool lies forward on that same deck, with yet another pool aft on the main deck. Of course, the megayacht appears to have a beach club, given the presence of three vertical windows in her transom. Simultaneously, fold-down platforms with windows are to the sides just forward of here. Although guests using any leisure space adjacent to these platforms will enjoy the views, they’ll have some of the best uninterrupted views on the uppermost deck. A partially shaded seating area awaits them.

Additional details, including the number of staterooms and the overall ambience, remain unknown. For perspective, the owner’s other Boardwalk—he names all his projects Boardwalk—has seven staterooms for 14 people. That yacht is a 251-foot (76.5-meter) Feadship from 2021, listed for sale earlier this year. The owner has spoken publicly about his love of yachting, too. He’s Tilman Fertitta, the CEO and owner of the hospitality, entertainment, and gaming company Landry’s, and currently further the U.S. ambassador to Italy. In fact, Fertitta lived aboard the Feadship for a few months this year before moving into his ambassador residence. He further owned a 164-foot (50-meter) Westport for about a decade prior to taking delivery of the Feadship.

Speaking of delivery, a spokesperson for Fertitta tells the Houston Chronicle that he’ll take delivery of the newest Boardwalk next April. She’ll be one of the largest megayacht deliveries globally in 2026.
