First Baglietto T54 Yacht 2 Years From Delivery

Owners understandably get excited when the launch day for their yacht arrives. But, it’s just as exciting to see the completed hull. The owners of the first Baglietto T54 yacht were able to see its official arrival at the yard in La Spezia, Italy. Still a long way from completion, the megayacht is beginning to put her shapes and dimensions into stronger focus.

Borrowing from her sisterships yet blazing new design paths, the Baglietto T54 yacht has multiple enviable alfresco areas. Firstly, the beach area spreads over two levels, placing a glass-faced pool between two seating areas/conversation lounges. Even though slightly smaller Bagliettos—along with some competitors’ offerings—have the upper lounge area, the second lounge, being directly aft of the pool, is a nice benefit. It makes the pool area more of a social hub throughout the day, and perhaps into the evening. Secondly, the sundeck, always a popular place to spend time, encompasses 1,615 square feet (150 square meters). Finally, the saloon is effectively a stronger indoor-outdoor room than most because the floor-to-ceiling glass doors open much wider. Baglietto and Francesco Paszkowski Design, which have partnered on all of the builders’ recent series, reconfigured the location of some technical systems to make this possible.

Yet another stronger use of space comes in the master suite. In fact, the footprint is bigger, and the suite has a balcony, something the T54’s predecessor, the T52, didn’t feature. The owners aren’t the only ones with more elbowroom, though. Among the guest staterooms, a VIP sits on the upper deck, near the skylounge, which retains opening glass on three sides, a Baglietto hallmark. This upper-deck staterooms is unexpected for a series-built 177-footer (54-meter), being more typical of a fully custom build. One more unexpected interior area is the wellness space directly off the beach area. It contains a gym and a spa. Again, most semi-custom projects don’t automatically include much more than a gym.

That isn’t to say that Baglietto has added these benefits to reduce special requests. Actually, it’s the opposite. Overall, the Baglietto T54 yacht series is not just a bigger superyacht, but also a more customizable one. All the while, she remains just under the 500-gross-ton threshold, keeping operations simpler for owners.

The owners of this yacht will take delivery in two years’ time. In related news, hull number two in the series has started construction on spec. Interested buyers can anticipate taking delivery in 2028.
