Splashing cold water on your face is an effective way to wake up and feel refreshed. So, too, is taking a cold plunge. When it’s time to relax, sitting in a sauna is hard to beat. The owners of the yacht Project Discovery, currently in build at Delta Marine, will be able to do this, and more.
The owners selected Delta Marine for a few reasons, including its long history of building highly personalized superyachts. Their yacht is 156 feet (47.5 meters), with styling and naval architecture by the shipyard’s own design department. She is as much for the owners to focus on physical wellbeing as she is for the rest of their family. So, for instance, the sauna and a cold plunge pool are both where you might expect to find a traditional beach club. Joining them are an abundance of activity-focused gear. Specifically, dive and scuba gear, along with paddleboards stow here. Additionally, the area contains coolers for freshly caught fish—so you can imagine the owners and/or family members are avid anglers.

More wellness awaits in an alfresco gym, a dedicated space on the bridge deck. Working out with unobstructed views of the surrounding scenery is as much a mental-health exercise as it is a physical one.
Of course, the owners of the yacht Project Discovery plan to have a lot of fun while they cruise. They therefore plan to carry PWCs (waterbikes) aboard, for example. Additionally, a slide lets guests zip straight down into the water in seconds flat.

Accommodating a party of 12, the megayacht features interior design by Dasha Moranova Designs. Dasha Moranova herself says it has been a pleasure working with the owners. “The yacht embodies everything we believe in: wellbeing at sea,” she explains. “It offers the perfect balance between an active lifestyle and pure relaxation.” Active days can include not only fishing, but also measuring and weighing them on what Moranova terms the “smart deck.” Relaxation, meanwhile, comes in the already-mentioned sauna, or while stretched out on sunpads up on the sundeck. Of course, it also comes when the family gathers for meals together. Those meals certainly will include some of the freshly caught fish, which the chef can grill out on deck for them. “Life onboard is exactly as it should be—a seamless blend of energy and ease, of vitality and calm,” Moranova points out.
The calm extends throughout the interiors, in neutral tones. They extend from an inviting lounge just inside the aft-deck doors to all the staterooms. Light and dark woods mix with stone, sea glass, and soft fabrics. The staterooms are further noteworthy. The VIP can convert to two separate staterooms, for example. Plus, kids get their own cabin among the grown-ups. If needed, the skylounge can convert into a stateroom, too, thanks to a pull-out settee. Conveniently, a full bath is nearby.

Following delivery, the owners plan to offer the megayacht for charter as well.
