How can a mere six and a half feet (2 meters) translate into 30 percent more space? When a design team and shipyard decide to throw out the rule book. More to the point, Benetti and RWD did that with the Benetti B.Now 52M yacht, which is six and a half feet longer than her successful smaller sister. Simultaneously, the interior design turns its back on convention, in favor of a layout that longtime yacht owners might remember.
The Benetti B.Now 52M yacht reinterprets the B.Now 50M, which has attracted nearly two dozen contracts in about five years. “Our vision for the B.Now 52M was to reprise the extraordinary features that made the B.Now 50M model such a success and take them to the next level,” says Charlie Baker, RWD’s director. Neither the shipyard nor RWD, responsible for the styling and exterior layout of the full B.Now series, wanted to simply introduce a slightly larger megayacht model.
The primary feature that has attracted so many customers is the Oasis Deck, the multi-level, open-air beach area with a pool. Specifically, the one on the 50M is 30 percent smaller than the same area on this new megayacht. Therefore, it spreads out over 1,399 square feet (130 square meters). Additionally, the pool is larger, plus has a retractable cover sitting flush with the deck. This adds even more usable space for parties. Overall, from the edge of the stern to the doors leading inside, 15 feet (about 4.6 meters) of relaxation and entertainment space unfolds.
The Benetti B.Now 52M yacht series still incorporates full-height glass and wellness areas in addition to emphasizing outdoor space. That said, Benetti believed even more could be done inside, and turned to designer Valentina Zannier for inspiration. “A new concept must represent progress in terms of both aesthetics and functionality in equal measure,” she asserts. Zannier strove for clean lines that both lend elegance and lead owners and guests literally and figuratively from one room to another.

Particularly of note, the main deck is no longer broken up into somewhat isolated spaces. Instead, it’s possible to see straight from the aft-deck doors all the way through the windows overlooking the bow lounge, all on the starboard side. In fact, it’s 157 feet (48 meters) of uninterrupted vistas. A wall of glass runs alongside it, too. Although Benetti and Zannier eliminated the starboard side deck as a result, crew are still able to move around.
Yet another layout change impacts the formal dining area. Since modern-day living, especially in the United States, emphasizes open-plan living, saloons and dining areas flow into each other. The Benetti B.Now 52M yacht, however, separates the dining area. Not only that, but it sits where you might expect the master to be. It’s fully forward on the main deck, overlooking the bow lounge and with full-height glass to each side. The owners therefore get a private oasis on the upper deck. It’s a truly private indoor and outdoor haven, since no stairway connects from out on deck. In total, 1,184 square feet (110 square meters) divides equally between the bedroom and alfresco area.
In related news, the shipyard has signed a contract for hull number two of its B.Now 72M yacht series, with the Oasis Deck. Furthermore, Benetti has added a sistership to its B.Loft series, specifically the B.Loft 58M. She complements the B.Loft 65M yacht, with soaring ceilings.
