Balcony – Third Avenue – Dubai Mall

Third Avenue is a stylish restaurant at Dubai Mall where the drinks and food are as fashionable as the surroundings. With its boutique-style interiors, curated menu and a laid-back yet elegant vibe, it’s the kind of place where you can pop in for a quick bite or linger over a meal while people watch the vibrant energy of the mall or even be seated at their balcony watching the dancing fountain or the world’s tallest building. What I loved most about Third Avenue is that it doesn’t just serve good food, it serves experiences on a plate. Each dish feels carefully thought out, with flavors that are playful yet balanced. It’s a spot that brings together style, flavor, and a touch of indulgence.

Drinks – Belgian Green Crunch AED 45 (biscoff | milk | matcha) and Dark Spritz AED 48 (strawberry | Charcoal Powder | lemon | lime | mint | diet sprite)

Drinks

The cold Matcha drink came with the comforting creaminess of milk, the earthy depth of matcha, a layer of crushed Biscoff that adds a caramel crunch with every sip. The balance is surprisingly elegant, the Biscoff adds that indulgent cookie flavor which contrasts with the bitter matcha. Dark Sprtiz is a complete contrast being bold, fizzy, and refreshing. The striking charcoal black base makes it look mysterious, while the strawberry and citrus notes on sprite bring a tangy sweetness that instantly lifts the palate. It’s light and cooling.

Appetizers

The indulgent truffle fries were addictive. They arrived golden and crisp, dressed in a drizzle of truffle oil that immediately hits you with its earthy aroma. What takes them to another level is the heavy parmesan shavings on top and that touch of shaved truffle. It’s the kind of guilty pleasure you don’t feel guilty about.

The superfood Tabouleh is a refreshing and nutrient packed twist on the classic Tabouleh. Tabouleh has always been my favourite but this one, is on another level. Even those who never used to eat Tabouleh before was loving it this time. The base of buckwheat, fresh parsley, cucumber, tomatoes, and red onions adds crunch and vibrancy. Pomegranate and orange segments bring a subtle sweetness, while almonds and pumpkin seeds add a nutty crunch. Its wellness served in a bowl. This is the kind of dish that makes you feel as good as it tastes.

Crispy Prawn Tacos were a coastal flavor bomb wrapped in a tortilla. They’re vibrant, zesty and dangerously addictive. The chunky prawns delivered that irresistible crunch on the outside while staying juicy and tender inside. The Sriracha Kick had just the right amount of heat while avocado mellowed out the heat. These tacos hit all the flavor points sweet, spicy, tangy, creamy, crunchy.

Face Down Burger – AED 110 – angus beef patty | melted mixed cheese | Japanese mayo | creamy mushroom sauce

Mains

The Face Down Burger landed pushed down on a creamy mushroom sauce. Soft and glossy bun with a beef patty that is juicy and seared to perfection. You can taste the quality here. A mix of cheese hugged the burger. The creamy mushroom sauce that soaked into the bun, gave the burger a luxurious, slightly unexpected flavor twist that set it apart from your typical cheeseburger.

The Lasagna was dressed in a designer jacket looking rich, velvety and indulgent. The plating was elegant, letting the layers and lusciousness do all the talking. The Wagyu beef inside had a deep, slow-cooked flavor. Each forkful slid through those velvety layers like a hot knife through butter. A cheesy blanket that brought everything together into a comforting molten bite.

The Velvet Rigatoni arrives quietly with no dramatic garnish, just thick tubes of perfectly cooked rigatoni cloaked in a glistening sauce with a heavy sprinkle of parmesan cheese that hints at indulgence. The sundried tomato brought a burst of brightness and depth. Chewy, every now and then, you’d hit one and it would light up your palate in the best way like a little flavor firework among the creaminess.

Dessert

Dessert at Third Avenue Dubai Mall has been an experience. Each dish brings its own character. The elegance of Italian tradition, the boldness of modern Middle Eastern fusion, and the richness of handcrafted chocolate decadence. If Tiramisu is a classic, then Vulcano Tiramisu is its dramatic. This is a mascarpone bomb, and it’s as intense as it sounds. One spoonful breaks into that rich, velvety mascarpone center, surrounded by soft ladyfinger sponge that’s been soaked in deep, aromatic coffee. The heavy dusting of cocoa gives it that necessary bitter edge, balancing the creaminess perfectly. A must try for coffee lovers and tiramisu purists alike. We were also curious about the dessert named after the restaurant, ‘third avenue viral dessert’. It’s simply a white chocolate resting on a block of pistachio kunafa but it was the best of Kunafa base we’ve had which was nutty and crunchy. The warm chocolate and the arabic sweet is topped up in front of us. More than a dessert, it was a moment. The flavour was unique from this dessert, something that we’ve never experienced before. The Pistachio Molten Lava Cake was the man of the match. The cake is warm, soft, and cakey, but the real magic happens when you cut through the center, Out flows a slow, velvety stream of melted pistachio, rich and buttery. Have it along with the smooth vanilla ice cream and you’ve got hot, cold, creamy, all in one decadent bite. It’s the perfect balance of flavors and textures.
